PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject device designed to obviate such a problem involved in conventional multineedle-type sewing machines that, when a twist is developed on a needle thread to be used in sewing operation, because the twist rotates on pulling out the needle thread, the twist in rotation causes the needle thread to tend to entangle with the adjacent needle thread(s) between 1st and 2nd guides where the needle threads adjacent to each other are narrowly spaced. SOLUTION: This thread entanglement preventive device 14 in a multineedle- type sewing machine M1 (M2, M3) is such one as to be equipped with a needle thread guide plate 50 for preventing the twist developed on a needle thread 18 from rotation along the needle thread route plane ranging from a plurality of thread guide holes 40 formed above a plurality of reels 17 to a plurality of tensioners 30 set up on the upper end portion of a needle bar case 12.
