LOW VISCOSITY AQUEOUS EMULSION OF POLYAMIDE RESIN AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very practical aqueous emulsion of a polyamide resin having a low viscosity at normal temperatures and an excellent stability with time. SOLUTION: In aqueous emulsions of various types of polyamide resins including dimer acid-modified polyamide resins are incorporated an emulsifying agent and a mixture of a 2-8C diamine a 2-8C dibasic acid or an emulsifying agent and a 1-8C aminosulfonic acid compound. The combined use of a conventional emulsifying agent and a mixture of a specific diamine and a specific dibasic acid or a specific aminosulfonic acid compound can effectively produce low viscosity aqueous emulsions of polyamide resins which are excellent in dispersion stability with time as well.
