PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily secure an arranging position in the inside of an engine room by reducing width of a communicating part of a rack storing cylinder and a pinion storing cylinder. SOLUTION: This gear housing 3 is constituted by integrally molding a rack storing cylinder 31 to support a rack shaft and a pinion storing cylinder 32 to support a pinion shaft by crossing with the rack storing cylinder 31 in the middle by casting. In this case, it is constituted so that a parting line X of cores respectively drawn out on both sides of the rack storing cylinder 31 is produced on a crossing part inner surface of the rack storing cylinder 31 and the pinion storing cylinder 32 after casting.
