PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print continuously using a master and change a motif during printing, in a printer equipped with a printing plate, an optical imaging unit for directly forming the printing plate and an inking device for depositing ink onto the printing plate. SOLUTION: In order to make it possible to perform the variable printing per page, the surface 12 of a printing plate 2 is formed of a material which can variably change wetting properties between a state in which a contact angle is very small and a state in which the contact angle is comparatively larger. The state in which the contact angle is very small is realized by the effect of a light of shorter wavelength than the wavelength peculiar to the material. In addition, a cleaning device 18 for cleaning the surface of the printing plate 2 is normally provided. |
