PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new biodegradable card base material. SOLUTION: This base material is prepared by molding a polymer which mainly comprises a polymer of a polyester diol having a repeating structure of the formula (wherein R is a 2-12C hydrocarbon group; and n is an integer of 2 or larger) and 2,5- and/or 2,6-diisocyanatomethylbicyclo[2,2,1]heptane. Preferably, the molecular weight of the polyester diol having the repeating structure of the formula is 50,000 or larger.
