PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and simply find a predetermined measuring point in an forearm and perform a predetermined measurement precisely by measuring a degree of coarseness and density of a bone by a radius at a fixed distance from an ulna. SOLUTION: For example, a left forearm 1 is put on a fixing base for measurement 6 in such a way that its wrist passes between probes for measurement. At this time, a tip part of an ulna 3 positioned below the wrist is brought into contact with a positioning member 14. A rip part 15 is gripped by fingers 5a to 5e at the position. A horizontal travel adjusting knob is operated in this condition to bring a front face of the probe for measurement into contact with a surface of the forearm 1 corresponding to a radius 2 lightly. When a measurement start button is pressed in this condition, an ultrasonic wave is generated for the radius 2 of the forearm 1. A vertical movement knob is operated in this condition to move vertically in the direction of height of the probe for measurement and find a position where a signal becomes a peak. The probe for measurement is fixed at the position to perform a predetermined measurement.
