<p>Ejection pin device for the removal of stepped sheet-metal pressings from the upper die cavity incorporates a safety device in case of jamming of the pressing. It involve the linkage of the rod through a vertical roller applying pressure against it and via a linkage controlled by another roller running vertically along the ram and engaging a cam rail attached to it. During normal working the roller engaging the core pin is swung sideways when the rod has performed its function thus stopping any further vertical movement. In case of jamming of the workpiece, the shear pin type shafts supporting the roller break, thus stopping further movement of the rod; at the same time a limit switch attached to the roller becomes activated and switches off the entire press.</p> |
