PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing yarn capable of readily performing a cloth processing with a wavy yarn, a method for processing cloth having high dimensional stability, a method for processing cloth capable of controlling feeling, etc., and shape-memory yarns, stretch cloth or resin processed cloth produced by the producing method. SOLUTION: Wool yarns 1 are knitted and wavy shapes are imparted to the wool yarns 1. The knit fabric is subjected to a reducing treatment by dipping in a reducing solution to convert cystine in the wool to cysteine. The wool becomes soft and a shape of the wool yarns 1 becomes wavy. After washing, the wool yarns 1 are subjected to oxidation by dipping in an oxidation solution to convert cysteine to cystine. The wool is fixed in the shape and the wool yarns 1 are fixed to wavy shape. The wool yarns 1 are washed, dehydrated, dried and tensioned in rewinding to be wound on a bobbin, etc. Then, shape-memory yarns in which the wavy yarns W are extended are obtained. The shape-memory yarns are readily processible to the cloth because the wavy yarns W are extended. The shape-memory yarns are returned to wavy shape by applying moisture to the cloth produced with the shape-memory yarns to obtain a stretch cloth and dimension is stabilized. |
