PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain highly pureβ-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate crystals from which injurious epichlorohydrin is reduced, and to obtain a method for producing the same. SOLUTION:β-Type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate crystals containingα-type tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate in the crystals. The crystals are produced by (A) a process for reacting cyanuric acid with epichlorohydrin to obtain the reaction solution containing tris-(2,3-epoxypropyl)-isocyanurate, (B) a process for adjusting the concentration of solid contents, (C) a process for adding seed crystals, (D) a process for cooling the mixture to obtain the crystals, and (E) a process for washing and drying the crystals.
