PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent effective for chronic hepatitis B, and to provide a medication system for treating chronic hepatitis B by using the therapeutic agent. SOLUTION: This agent comprises interferon(IFN) whose total effectual amount per day is administrated by divided administrations of 2 to 4 times per day. The other objective medication system for treating chronic hepatitis B by using the agent is conducted by its divided administrations of 2 to 4 times per day wherein the IFN is pref. exemplified by IFN-αor IFN-β.
