PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic method which gives a contrast between light and shade to the color on skin, shows readily the effect similar to the application of foundation creams and can sustain the beautiful state without getting out of shape with water and sweat by more greatly increasing pigmentation degree on skin in the region where should be made color darker. SOLUTION: In order to change pigmentation degree depending on the region of skin, prescribed light, suitably laser light, is irradiated to skin. Further, it is favorable to irradiate a light other than laser light so as to more increase in the total amount or apply a pigmentation accelerator urging pigmentation to skin in the region where should be made color darker and to apply a skin- whitening agent for inhibiting pigmentation to skin in the region where should be made color lighter.
