PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a low cost production by continuously cutting ends of a molding, then inverting the end cut pieces 90 degrees and laminating them on an upper surface of the molding as a spacer, thereby forming a spacer integrated type molding. SOLUTION: Glass short fibers are bound together with a phenol resin binder and a long material of an inorganic fiber molding 10 made of glass wool formed by being heated and pressurized is formed. Both ends of the molding 10 are cut by a rotor cutter 20, and an adhesive 31 is spayed from a binder sprayer 30 to a portion where the end cut pieces 11 are placed. The pieces 11 are laminated by an arbitral carrier on an upper surface of the molding 10 and bonded to the upper surface of the molding 10 through the adhesive 31, thereby forming a long inorganic fiber heat insulating material 1 with a spacer integrated therewith. Accordingly, it is possible to continously produce a heat insulating material with a large bindging strength in the end cut pieces.
