CONTINUOUS CASTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift up type continuous casting device which can easily and surely prevent a secondary cooling water from invading into a casting mold. SOLUTION: A cooling chamber 6 is provided above a casting mold 1 for secondarily cooling a casting rod 5 being upwardly lifted up from the top end of the casting mold 1. A nozzle 7 is arranged therein for jetting the cooling water against the casting rod 5. Also, in the neighborhood of the downward cooling chamber 6 entrance part, a high pressure gas injection part 8 is opened against the casting rod 5 for injecting a high pressure gas such as an air or a nitrogen gas to scatter the cooling water coming down along the casting rod 5. On the inlet side outer wall of the cooling chamber 6 nearby the high pressure gas jetting port 8, the guide rolls 9 are arranged for guiding the rod 5 in a way that its axial core is in agreement with the center of the high pressure gas jet part.
