PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously simplify the constitution of a water tank and enhance visibility inside the water tank, particularly to make water in the water tank visible from front of the water tank during ironing. SOLUTION: A water tank 12 comprises a handle 9 made from a transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin and a tank component 11. The tank component 11 has a bottom member 13 sealingly coupled at its peripheral edge to the lower end of a tank component wall 10 projecting downward into the handle 9 and has a side face member 14 formed by projecting the outer periphery of the bottom member 13 outward from the tank component wall 10, the side face member 14 being tilted forward and downward from its rear projected upward from the bottom member 13, so that its front is located below the bottom member 13.
