PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothespin such that the clamping bodies of the clothespin are so formed that they can be set in an open fixed state, so that the work of hanging out the washing to dry can be performed with only one hand. SOLUTION: In a clothespin formed by openable and closable clamping bodies 1, 2 each of which is either formed in a rather long size or formed by providing an extension plate on the top of a small clamping body, a guide rod 6 extended between the clamping bodies, an actuating member 3 provided on the one clamping body 2, and a spring 7 provided between the one clamping body 2 and the actuating member 3, the actuating member 3 is formed into a rotatable integral form comprising a rotating shaft part 10 and a restoration lever 5, and the clamping body 2 can be set in an open fixed state at a certain position. Also, the clamping body 2 set in the open fixed state can be restored to its closed state.
