PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up a decompression device and a fuel pump drive means in a cylinder head while ensuring an engine size in compactness. SOLUTION: This DOHC engine is formed in a constitution providing engine start assisting decompression devices 56A, 56B in one cam shaft 35 of the engine and a fuel pump drive means 76 in the other cam shaft 34. The decompression device 56A and the fuel pump drive means 76 are arranged in an end part in the same side to the two cam shafts 34, 35 and in a reverse side to a cam shaft drive means 54, and a position of the decompression device 56B provided in an intermediate part of the cam shaft 35 is set between each cylinder of the DOHC engine.
