PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject compounds in high yield by carrying out a reducing treatment of an azaspirane derivative. SOLUTION: The reducing treatment of an azaspirane derivative represented by formula I [R1 is H, a 1-12C alkyl, a 2-12C alkenyl or the like; R2 to R5 are each H, a 1-12C alkyl, a (substituted)aryl, a (substituted)aralkyl or the like; R6 and R7 are each a lower alkyl or a (substituted)aryl; (x) is 0 or 1; (y) is 2-5; (z) is 0-6] e.g. 2-[3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propyl]-8-ethyl-7,7-ethylenedithio-2- azaspiro[4.5]decane} is carried out with a reducing agent such as preferably Raney nickel to thereby provide compounds represented by formula II e.g. 2-(3-aminopropyl)-8,8-di-n-propyl-2-azaspiro 4.5]decane}. The compound represented by formula I is prepared by reacting a compound represented by formula III with a thiol derivative (e.g. 1,2-ethanedithiol) in the presence of an acid.
