PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the assembly of reels without requiring exact positioning by directly detecting symbol positions in order to correctly recognize the positions of the symbols on reels. SOLUTION: This game machine has the reels 10 displaying the various symbols necessary for games, drive means 20 for rotationally driving these reels, symbol position indices 13 disposed in correspondence to the respective symbols on the outer peripheral surfaces 11 of the reels, detecting means 30 for detecting these symbol position indices 13 and outputting signals and discriminating means capable of discriminating the symbol positions on the reels in accordance with these detection signals. |
