PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a traction grease composition useful for a planetary roller type traction drive mechanism used as a speed changer in a machine tool or others by dispersing a thickener in a base oil comprising a hydrogenated substance of a specific dimer to a specified trimer of anα-alkylstyrene. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by dispersing preferably 2-20 mass % of a thickener such as a diurea-based one prepared by reacting a 5-8C alicyclic amine compound, etc., with an isocyanate in a base oil comprising at least one kind of compound represented by formulae I to III (R1 to R19 are each H, a 1-3C alkyl or cyclohexyl; Q1 to Q7 are each a 1-3C alkyl or cyclohexyl; n1 to n7 are each 0-5) which is a hydrogenated substance of a dimer to a trimer of anα-alkylstyrene.
