PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform surface, minimize a heat deformation during thermal treatment, and prevent burrs or the like from being generated at the time of cutting, in molding various kinds of resin sheet, resin coating film, ceramic sheet or the like. SOLUTION: This mold release film is based on a biaxially orientated polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate film with 50 nm or more-100 nm or below surface roughness (Ra). In this case, foreign particles with 25μm or more max. dia. are not present and foreign particles with 5μm or more and 25μm or below max. dia. total 10 or less in a base film per area having 210 mm one side length and 148 mm orthogonal side length with the former (the area of 310.8 cm2).
