PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air control device, for an internal combustion engine, which is excellent in roundness, and has a butterfly valve for controlling an intake air amount supported axially and disposed inside a cylindrical bore part. SOLUTION: This control device comprises: a cylindrical bore part; a mounting flange provided at one end of the cylindrical bore part; and a butterfly valve 12 which is a circumferential wall of the cylindrical bore part and is axially supported by short cylindrical bearing bosses, of the butterfly valve 12, symmetrically projecting to the outside and disposed at optimal positions in a longitudinal direction. The butterfly valve 12 is made of resin material. A peripheral part 19 of the circular butterfly valve 12 is thin and a part 20, where a weld line is generated, near a maximum diameter including a mounting hole for a rotation axis of the butterfly valve 12 is thick.
