PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastomer composite which comprises a diene elastomer, a particulate filler, and a catalyst of which a part has been attached to the surface of the filler in advance by polymerizing a conjugated diene hydrocarbon alone or together with an arom. vinyl compd. in the presence of a polymn. catalyst and a particulate filler comprising carbon black and/or precipitated silica. SOLUTION: The elastomer composite contains about 10-100 phr filler. The catalyst is a combination of at least one first cocatalyst selected from among transition metal compds. of the groups 4-6 in the periodic table, metallocenes, lanthanides, actinides, org. cobalt compds., etc., with at least one second catalyst selected from among org. Al compds., org. Zn compds., and org. Mg compds. When the first cocatalyst is attached to the surface of the filler, the second cocatalyst is added to the mixture of monomer/solvent/filler, and vice versa. The carbon black used is one modified with silanol, siloxane, titanium oxide, etc., for rubber reinforcing. |
