PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of black smoke while keeping the desired accelerating performance with a simple and inexpensive structure by controlling the auxiliary braking by the exhaust brake corresponding to the stepping speed of an accelerator pedal in the case when the accelerator pedal is stepped for the accelerating operation during the braking by the exhaust brake. SOLUTION: When an exhaust brake switch 3, an acceleration switch 8 and a clutch switch 12 are respectively ON, a control circuit 1 controls an electromagnetic valve 9 for supply the air pressure of an air tank 10 to a control cylinder 11, and a switching valve 5 of an exhaust path 4 is closed to decelerate a vehicle. When an accelerator pedal 7 is stepped during this auxiliary braking by this exhaust brake, a stepping speed is operated by the control circuit 1 on the basis of the stepping quantity detected by an acceleration sensor 6, and the quick acceleration is judged when the stepping speed is over a predetermined speed, so that the electromagnetic valve 9 is controlled, the supply of the air pressure to the control cylinder 11 is stopped to open the switching valve 5, and the auxiliary braking is released.
