PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a fire proof property by providing a fire proof partitioning wall between a vertical plotted space of a building and another area adjacent thereto, the wall being formed of a fire proof wall board and a retaining member, the board being provided only at the side of another area. SOLUTION: A fire proof partitioning wall 10 is provided between a vertical plotted space S1 being continuous vertically such as an elevator shaft, stairs or facility shaft and an adjacent room space. The wall 10 is formed of a fire proof wall board 15 made of such as a plaster board and a retainer member 16. The retainer member 16 is formed of steel runners 17, 18 and a steel stud 19. The board 15 is fixed to the stud 19. Accordingly, with the wall 10, a fire proof function to a fire from the side of room space S2 is assured through its board 15 and extension of fire to the side of the space S1 can be prevented.
