PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely enhance the reliability and safety of a vertical injection molder by a method wherein the abnormality of a transmission belt is exactly and surely detected and, at the same time, the falling of a movable mold side including a weight portion is quickly and surely checked. SOLUTION: In a vertical injection molder, an abnormality detecting part 6 for detecting the abnormality of a transmission belt 2 is provided and a fastening rod 7 having a plurality of fastening parts 7s... along the moving direction of a movable mold 5m is provided on either the mounting side of the movable mold 5m or the mounting side of a fixed mold 5c. On the other hand, a stopper mechanism part 9 constituted by providing a body to be fastened 8 fastening due to displacement with fastening parts 7s... and a driving controlling part 10 for fastening with the fastening parts 7s... due to the displacement of the body to be fastened 8 are provided.
