PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the position of a cloth cutting width easily and surely only through a knob operation in the cloth cutting mechanism of an overlock sewing machine while holding always constant the cutting pressures of a drive knife and a fixed knife. SOLUTION: A movable knife 18 located at a movable knife drive A is energized under appropriate pressure so as to roughly abut against a fixed knife 16 located on a fixed knife table B. The movable knife drive A is freely oscillationally mounted on a main spindle 2 freely slidably mounted in a machine body frame 1. The fixed knife table B is secured to the axial end of the main spindle 2 in such a way as to be movable along with the main spindle 2, and the movable knife drive A and the fixed knife table B can be moved at the same time by a control shaft member 3 axially reciprocating to and from the machine body frame 1.
