<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger pinch preventing mechanism for a sliding sash, added to a sash fastener always operated in the case of opening a door, so as to dispense with special human initiated operation for switching a stopper into a working position and a nonworking position and to prevent a finger pinch accident caused by forgetting to reset the stopper into the original working position even if the finger pinch preventing mechanism is once released to clean window glass or for maintenance. SOLUTION: Finger pinch preventing mechanism for a sliding type sash such as a double sliding sash or a single sliding sash is provided with a stopper 6 connected to a claw side member 4 of a sash fastener 1. The stopper 6 is switched into a working position of projecting within a moving locus of a door frame of an outer sash and into a nonworking position of going out of the moving locus interlockingly with the unlocking action and locking action of the sash fastener 1. A spring 7 is provided between the stopper 6 and the claw side member 4, and it is so constituted that the stopper 6 in the working position can be switched into the nonworking position against spring force.</p> |
