摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a caliper return mechanism which improves reliability, simplifies structure, and reduces a cost by utilizing the liquid seal of a slide pin boot as a caliper return source. CONSTITUTION:The depth of a seal holding groove 13 formed in the inlet part of a pin hole 9 is increased to a value slightly higher than that of a conventional type and a ring 15 is arranged therein. The ring 15 is fitted in a slippery manner in the outer periphery of a slide pin 7 by a force higher than a specified force and brought into contact with the liquid seal 14 of the inlet part of the pin hole 9 formed in one end of a pin boot 12. When a caliper 1 is moved to the right through brake, the ring 15 is moved to the right togetherwith the slide pin 7 to compress the liquid seal 14, and the caliper 1 is returned through the restoration force, generated through the compression, of the seal 14. Thus, a mechanism is extremely simple and a space and a cost can be reduced. In addition, since the ring 15 is slipped over the slide pin 7 with the progress of wear of a pad, no change of a return amount of the caliper 1 is produced, and lowering of performance of a brake owing to the change of a return amount is also prevented from occurring.</p>
