PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanizing machine which is capable of performing a regulating operation easily and securely after replacing a tire mold, reducing the number of members for retaining the strength, and further has no limitation to the number and arrangement of pressurizing cylinders with advantages such as low cost and high reliability. SOLUTION: The tire vulcanizing machine is equipped with a bolstering plate 9 for assembling an upper mold half of a tire mold M and a base plate 4 for assembling a lower mold half. Further, a mold thickness adjusting device 15 is provided which transfers a clamping force to the tire mold M with the help of plural rods 17 which are freely attachable to and detachable from a pressurizing cylinder and the base plate 4. The mold thickness adjusting device 15 has drive means 27 for lifting each of the rods 17 up and down with the bolstering plate 9, installed on each of the rods 17, and a sensor which detects that the contact face 17c of each of the rods 17 is brought into contact with the upper face of the base plate 4. |
