SOLUTION: This golf ball consists of a core 4 made of at least two layers and a cover 3 formed on the core 4. In a process of making a core, at the time of covering the an N-numbered layer with an (N+1)-numbered layer in the shape of a semispherical shell, the (N+1)-numbered layer being a nonmagnetic body is fixed between a press die and a jig by magnetic force.
