PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a lid body by automatically releasing a pressure inside a pot when an external operation is required, to make mechanisms accompanying that be in common and to smoothly and surely perform an operation. SOLUTION: This press cooker is constituted of a frame 1, the lid body 4, a pressure discharge button 26 freely turnably and pivotally supported at the lid body, an operation plate 28 provided on the lower part of the pressure discharge button for pivotally supporting the opposite side of an operation button 2 capable of opening the lid body, a driving motor 40 automatically operated after cooking is ended and a slide plate moved by the motor for pushing the operation plate and releasing the pressure inside the pot to the atmosphere.
