PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to align and collect without trouble a wire ring carried out by a simple equipment. SOLUTION: In this wire carrying method in which a hot-rolled wire is placed in a spiral and flat state, and is carried on a conveyor, and then the spiral wire is collected, a step is provided in the carrying process by lowing the collecting device side, resulting in providing a process in which the spiral wire is temporarily suspended, and the wire is aligned (the wire center is aligned with the center in width direction of the conveyor) when the spiral wire is suspended in the process. In the carrying process, a step with the collecting device side lowered is provided, and at a position where both edges in a width direction of the ring-like wire are placed within the step, a pair of conic rollers 2a and 2b with their apexes mutually facing the center in the carrying width direction are provided.
