PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crude refuse treating apparatus capable of lowering the pollutant load to a biological treating vessel, reducing the capacity of the biological treating vessel and reducing the weight of the solid generated from the treating apparatus by enhancing the sepn. capability of the solid in a solid suspension formed by pulverizing crude refuse. SOLUTION: This crude refuse treating apparatus 1 has a first solid separator 11 for separating the solid in the solid suspension of the crude refuse pulverized by a disposer, a second solid separator 12 for separating the solid in the separated liquid past this first solid separator 11, the biological treating vessel 13 for biologically decomposing the separated liquid past this second solid separator 12, a treated water tank 14 for causing the advection of the treated water of the biological treating vessel 13 and a solid storage tank 15 for storing the separated solid. The apparatus is provided with a solid removing means 16 for discharging the water in the treated water tank 14 into the first solid separator 11 and dropping the solid into the solid storage tank 15 and an air feeding means for blowing the air in the upper part 20 of the biological treating vessel 13 to the solid storage tank 15 to decrease the moisture content of the solid.
