PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically and reasonably remove soil attached to the surface of a root part of a root vegetable. SOLUTION: This harvester capable of successively pulling out root vegetables planted in a field by a nipping and conveying means 3 while traveling, cutting and removing the stem and leaf parts of the pulled-out root vegetables, and sending the root vegetables without the stem and leaf parts into a storing part one by one, has a means 36 for removing soil before the root vegetables reach the storing part, regulated so that the soil attached to the root parts may be removed from the surface of the root vegetables by a rotary brush 36a driven by a motive powder.
