PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing device which can improve a deodorizing efficiency of a deodorizing element which has a photocatalytic layer that is excited by an irradiation of ultraviolet and decomposes a deodorizing component. SOLUTION: A deodorizing element 1 is formed into a form of which an element 2 of an upstream side and an element 3 of a downstream side which control a stick ultraviolet lamp 4 respectively are arranged at a both sides of directions of air flow with putting the ultraviolet lamp 4 between the element 2 of the upstream side and the element 3 of the downstream side. An irradiation efficiency is improved, furthermore, a deodorizing efficiency is also improved because the deodorizing element 1 is irradiated with light rays which head from the ultraviolet lamp 4 for both sides, e.g. an upstream side and a downstream side of directions of air flow. And a good deodorizing efficiency can be realized without enlarging a size of thickness not so much by deodorizing air in two-steps by allowing air to pass through each element 2, 3 of the upstream side and the downstream side of the deodorizing element 1 successively.
