PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hardenable polymer mortar or concrete compsn. giving a hardened body having a smooth good surface by incorporating a specified total amt. of an inorg. powdery filler and an aggregate into a specified polymerizable liq. resin obtained from unsaturated urethane and vinyl monomer copolymerizable with this in a specified ratio as a binder. SOLUTION: The hardenable polymer mortar or concrete compsn. contains a binder, an inorg. powdery filler and an aggregate. The binder is a polymerizable liq. resin consisting of an unsatd. urethane represented by the formula and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the urethane in a weight ratio of 90:10 to 10:90 and the inorg. powdery filler and aggregate are contained by 300-1,500 pts.wt., in total, based on 100 pts.wt. binder. The unsatd. urethane is obtd. by allowing unsatd. urethane monoisocyanate to react with a di- to hexahydric alcohol and methyl methacrylate may be used as the vinyl monomer.
