PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid compressor in which a thermal loss of a discharge gas is reduced and a volumetric efficiency of a suction gas is improved. SOLUTION: A compression mechanism part 3 of this liquid compressor comprises a cylinder 11 having a cylindrical wall, a roller 8 eccentrically arranged within the cylinder 11, a suction pipe 12 through which a fluid is fed to a space between the roller 8 and the cylinder 11, and a spiral blade 10 provided between the cylinder 11 and the roller 8. At least either of the cylinder 11 or the roller 8 has a ceramic coating layer 14.
