PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a poison bait agent having high eatability by adding a substance capable of increasing eatability for rodent which has not been used conventionally to exterminate rodent. SOLUTION: This poison bait is obtaind by adding at least one kind of vegetable oil mainly consisting of fatty acid esters having 20 or less carbon atoms to a poison bait agent containing a rodent-killing active component. As a vegetable oil-, at least one kind of oil selected from a group consisting of corn oil, rice oil, soybean oil, olive oil and cotton seed oil is used. The vegetable oil is preferably added at a ratio of 5-30 wt.% based on the poison bait. This method for producing a poison bait having high eatability for rodent animals is characterized in that one or two or more kinds of vegetable oils selected from a group consisting of corn oil, rice oil, soybean oil, olive oil and cotton seed oil are added to a poison bait agent containing a rodentkilling active component.
