PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the interference of a lid with an instrument panel or its erroneous opening. SOLUTION: A lid 3 closable by rotating an article housing space 2a formed in an instrument panel downward with respect to the inside of a vertical surface is pivotally fixed to the instrument panel, a rib 13 provided in the inner surface of the lid 3 is protruded lower than the lid 3 to form a lower end protruded part 13a, and a recess 23 is provided in the housing space bottom surface 8 of the article housing space 2a such that the lower end protruded part 13a is fitted therein.
