PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set and confirm the position of an X-ray compensating filter without radiating X-rays and to reduce the X-ray exposure quantity. SOLUTION: An X-ray radiation field setting collimator 4A is arranged in the front of an X-ray radiating means radiating X-rays to an object 1, an X-ray compensating filter device is arranged above or below the X-ray radiation field setting collimator 4A to control the intensity distribution of the X-rays radiated to the object 1, and the X-ray image of the object 1 is photographed in this X-ray device. The X-ray compensating filter device is constituted of multiple X-ray compensating filters 4, the X-ray compensating filters 4 are arranged horizontally movably and rotatably independently, and the X-ray compensating filters 4 are independently controlled by a plurality of switch mechanisms, respectively. A set position display device displaying the set positions of the X-ray compensating filters 4 is installed at the center section of the plurality of switch mechanisms.
