PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, and a manufacturing method thereof, equipped with an ink ejector comprising an ink jet head suitable for mass production in which production yield can be increased by reducing detect such as damage of barrier wall, while ensuring a highly accurate barrier wall driving region with minimum necessary trench length, size and material cost of the ink jet head can be reduced and a required fine pattern print or image can be formed easily. SOLUTION: An ink jet head 1 comprises a barrier wall 5 for forming a plurality of trenches 4 constituting an ink pressurization chamber 2, a substrate 3 integrated with the barrier wall 5, and a nozzle plate 7 having a nozzle hole 6 provided at one end of the trench 4. The barrier wall 5 is formed of a piezoelectric composition by casting, printing or sand blasting and the thickness 10 thereof is different in the longitudinal direction of the trench 4.
