PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a defoam position where bubbles disappear onto a surface of a thin film, prevent the bubbles from disappearing on a face of a heat- generating element and increase a life of a head greatly, by setting the thin film functioning as a valve to cover a rear part of the heat-generating element. SOLUTION: A valve 41 thin and easy to deform, e.g. formed of a polyimide film is set above a heat-generating element 2 to cover a rear part of the element. The valve 41 is set with a rear end part fitted at the side of a rear wall of a recessed part. When air bubbles are generated, the valve 41 bends upward and is opened, whereby ink is jetted out. When the air bubbles disappear, the valve 41 comes in touch with on the heat-generating element, thereby absorbing a cavitation damage and not damaging the heat-generating element 2. Accordingly a life of a head is increased greatly. |
