PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intermediate film for a safety glass, not only showing excellent blocking resistance during storage and excellent handling workability in laying the intermediate film between glass plates, but also having excellent degasification in a preliminary contact bonding process, sufficiently improving the inferior quality of a safety glass caused by bubble generation, having small dispersion of these properties and not producing a stripy diffraction figure called a moire stripe. SOLUTION: A great number of coarse uneven parts are regularly formed at least on one side of a thermoplastic resin sheet. A great number of fine uneven parts smaller than the coarse uneven parts are irregularly formed only on the surface of the peak parts of the uneven parts to give the objective intermediate film for a safety glass. The peak parts of the coarse uneven parts mean parts projecting upward from an average line in a coarseness curve designated by JIS B0601.
