摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the starting of follow-up traveling control on a low friction coefficient road surface regarding a vehicle traveling controller performing follow-up traveling while keeping a distance from a vehicle traveling ahead. SOLUTION: For example, since a controller for traveling state control performs driving force control or the like on a low friction coefficient road surface, when a control state signal SS indicating on-going driving force control becomes equal to a logical value '1', traveling on the low friction coefficient road surface is determined by detecting this, an operation history flag FT is set to '1' (step S4, S5, S9 and S10), control is inhibited during on-going follow-up traveling control and, when the starting of follow-up traveling control is requested while a state is not on-going follow-up traveling control (step S6), the starting of follow-up traveling control processing is inhibited. This operation history flag FT is reset when a specified releasing condition for suspending the follow-up traveling control is established (step S2).
