PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively make the most of a side part and an upper part of an automatic vending machine by providing a storing part storing containers and a feeding port on an upper part and a side part, respectively, and providing a container holding means holding containers from the feeding port to the storing part in transferable states. SOLUTION: In a container collecting device for automatic vending machine 1, a storing part 4 storing a container A is fixed to an upper part of an automatic vending machine B, a supply path 2 connected with a left side upper part of the storing part 4 is fixed to a left side outer wall of the automatic vending machine B and a collecting path 3 connected with a right side lower part of the storing part 4 is fixed to a right side outer wall of the automatic vending machine B. At a lower end side of the supply path 2, a feeding port 5 for feeding the container A is formed. At the inside of the supply path 2, a container supplying machine 8 for transferring the container A toward the storing part 4 is provided. In the container supplying machine 8, supply belts 9, 9 are synchronized and revolved in a supply direction by revolution amount that a container A is transferred upward in a state that the container A is held at a vertical long attitude between the supply belts 9, 9 tightly stretched at the inside of the supply path 2 via the feeding port 5.
