PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate empty spaces between the projections of embossed tape and cover tape, prevent the movements of stored electronic parts, and reduce deformation and damage of them, by storing the electronic parts into the storage parts of the embossed tape having a projection formed round the peripheral edge of each storage part and by joining the cover tape covering the electronic parts to the embossed tape. SOLUTION: In embossed tape 1, a plurality of recesses 1a as storage parts for electronic parts 2 are made in its longitudinal direction, and a continuous projection 1c is provided all the way round the peripheral edge of each of the recesses 1a. Therefore, electronic parts 2 are stored into the recesses 1a of the embossed tape, and then cover tape 3 is spread over the electronic parts 2 and joined to the embossed tape 1, thereby restricting the movements of the electronic parts 2. The embossed tape 1 and the cover tape 3 are contact- bonded under heat in joining parts 1b only in the directions of their lengths in order to make it easy to peel and separate the cover tape 3 when the electronic parts 2 are taken out. However, because of the projections 1c, tensions in oblique directions act on the jointed cover tape 3, thus preventing the movements of the stored electronic parts 2.
