PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely drain fouled waste by automatically flushing the inside of a toilet bowl if there is a change, after reflected beam density, color, image, etc., in the toilet bowl have been compared with each other in conditions before and after use by means of signals from a fouled waste detector. SOLUTION: When a toilet bowl cover 4 is closed after use of a toilet stool 1, light is emitted from a sensor 5 attached to the rear face of the toilet bowl cover 4 to the stored water level W in the toilet bowl 2a of the toilet stool body 2, and the reflected beam from the water level W is detected by the sensor 5. When fouled waste (o) remains in the stored water level W, as the reflected beam density is different from that before condition of use of the toilet stool 1, the reflected beam densities before and after use are detected by the sensor 5 and compared with each other in a controller. When there is a change in the reflected beam density, it is judged in the controller that fouled waste (o) remains in the toilet bowl 2a and flushing water is automatically supplied into the toilet bowl 2a to drain the fouled (o) waste. The sensor 5 can be replaced with a means which can detect color or image in the toilet bowl 2a. In this way, the fouled waste can be completely drained.
