摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion of organisms, scale or the like to the surface of an underwater structure by electrochemical organism control and to maintain antifouling effect for a long period by forming and antifouling face of a metal part not generating chlorine even in the case of applying specific electric potential. SOLUTION: A metal membrane 2 not generating chlorine even in applying electric potential of 5V vs. SCE or less is formed at least on the surface, coming in contact with sea water or fresh water, of base material 1 of an underwater structure 3, and a counter electrode base material 4 is installed so as not to come in contact with the membrane 2. A metal membrane 2 not generating chlorine even in applying electric potential of 5V vs. SCE or less is also formed on the surface of the counter electrode base material 4. The metal membrane formed on the surface of the base material 1 of the underwater structure 3, and the metal membrane 2 formed on the surface of the counter electrode base material 4, are connected to an electric power unit 6 by lead wires 5. Adhesion of organisms, scale, and the like to the surface of the underwater structure can therefore be prevented by electrochemical organism control.
