A device which is movable while being sucked to a wall surface and which can satisfy practically important requirements such as simplicity and low-cost and prevent more positively scattering of stains produced by a device to the surrounding or lowering in treating quality. Specifically, a device which is sucked to a surface by the pressure of a surrounding fluid and can move along the surface, and which comprises a pressure receiving body formed of a rigid or semi-rigid material, a partition wall defining a depressurized area in cooperation with the pressure receiving body and the surface and a pressure-reduction producing means for discharging fluid from the depressurized area to reduce the pressure in the depressurized area, characterized in that a plurality of thin strips or grooved thin strips are pasted or welded to a contact portion with the surface of the partition wall at intervals in a circumferential direction of the contact portion. |
