Signals respectively proportional to the desired and actual currents are compared in a differential amplifier 113, and if their difference is too great one or other of two Zener diodes 117, 118 breaks down to energise a corresponding relay R5 or R6 which in turn supplies power to the motor to drive it in the appropriate direction. The presence of the Zener diodes prevents hunting, and a storage capacitor 119 across the differential amplifier output provides damping. |
